About us

The deep sea is an underexplored part of ocean where the largest ecosystem on Earth can be found. We are aware that current knowledge on the deep sea is just a tip of iceberg and the research works done is only in the initial stage of the underwater exploration. Therefore, we are here to share our online findings on the deep sea environments and its importance in biotechnology-related industry. Besides, we are truly intrigued by how marine organisms thrive under extreme conditions in the deep oceans and this further motivates us in setting up this website.

We are undergraduates from Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus. This is an assignment for Aquatic Biotechnology, Semester 1 2015. The group members are Ang Hui Luh, Fong Kwong Soon and Salim Othman.
